What is the SneakPeek® Early Gender DNA Test?

SneakPeek® is a non-invasive prenatal blood test that analyzes small fragments of fetal DNA (cell-free fetal DNA) circulating in the mother’s bloodstream. The laboratory looks for the presence of the Y chromosome to determine fetal sex:

  • Y-chromosome detected → male fetus
  • No Y-chromosome detected → female fetus

Why Families Choose Early Testing

Learning your baby's sex early can be an exciting, meaningful milestone. Patients often choose SneakPeek® to:

  • Start bonding and choose a name earlier
  • Begin nursery planning and shopping
  • Include family in an earlier gender reveal

Accuracy, Timing & Safety

SneakPeek® reports accuracy over 99% when performed after 6 weeks gestational age and with proper sample collection. The test is completely safe — it requires only a maternal blood draw and poses no risk to the pregnancy.

In-Office vs. At-Home Kits

While at-home kits exist, we recommend in-office collection at Healthcare For Women to minimize contamination risk and ensure the fastest turnaround time. Our clinical team provides a calm, professional environment for phlebotomy and result counseling.

How to Schedule

You may schedule a SneakPeek® blood draw any time after 6 weeks gestational age. Not sure of your dates? We can confirm your gestational age during your visit.
